Nathan:
Hope all is well. Doug Mitchell here of the Des Moines blogganostra. I've used www.centraldesktop.com now for years to avoid the pain of dealing w/IT, being simple enough for most to understand, while having enough features/functions for the bell and whistle happy. They have internal blogging features, etc. It's very complete.

We have been looking at a couple of different solutions. From experience I would recommend SharePoint services for a catch all intranet solution or Twiki/Confluence as an enterprise wiki.
