Round-up of Downtown Des Moines Businesses on TwitterSeptember 4th, 2009 / Posted by Nathan T. Wright
Today on our way back from lunch through Downtown Des Moines via Locust Street, we decided to let the Flipcam roll and see how many businesses on Twitter we could identify. What, you think we were running out of ideas for our weekly video? How dare you! We were merely trying to illustrate how ubiquitous Twitter usage has become among local businesses.
Who did we miss? Add your comments in the video annotations above! Have a great Labor Day weekend, everyone.

Not sure how to tag the moving video
But caught a few you missed…they are: Des Moines Public Library Foundation (technically 1000 Grand, but you drove right by it), Greater Des Moines Partnership, Des Moines Downtown Chamber of Commerce, and Downtown Community Alliance.

In-video commenting / annotation is easy! Just click the + icon that moves along with the little progress bar thingy. Thanks for the comment!

What a fun afternoon! Does @flarahs still have a location at the Des Moines Library?

Nathan,
Seems like you turned your camera on a bit late…I am sure many Meredith editors and writers, publications, etc. are on Twitter. Of course, there are several from my shop…McLellan Marketing Group (@jillemmert, @timehayes, @brandwarrior, @drewmclellan and our agency @mclellanmarket.

Thanks for the comments Jenni and Drew! Yes, Flarah’s is in the DSM library, and actually we had footage of Meredith Corp but I totally botched the audio by hanging the flipcam out of the window.

Fun post/video/idea! Cool to show the connection between Twitter and the brick-n-mortar world … which is getting tighter for many every day.

Good round up! Nationwide and Nationwide Agribusiness are both on Twitter… @Nationwide and @NWAgribusiness.
