Mike Templeton talks about creating MicroblinkJanuary 8th, 2009 / Posted by Nathan T. Wright
Our 2009 resolution for Lava Row was to create. Behold our first creation: A weekly video series that we’re calling Area 52. (52 weeks in a year, get it? Ha!)
We’ll use this series as a platform to discuss social media, entrepreneurism and small business topics. As you can tell, we’ve still got a lot to learn about lighting and sound, but we’ll keep learning (and getting better) with each week. Special thanks to Hillary Brown for adding her iMovie skills to the video.
Our first episode features Mike Templeton, co-creator of microsharing news and resource blog Microblink, and all-around nice guy.
The purpose of the video series is to educate and share information with you, our readers — so please tell us what topics you’d like to see covered in the future.

Nice video guys. I would also suggest you guys don’t shoot with backlight anymore and a remote microphone will do you wonders. But I am looking forward to more cool content in the future.

You’ll try to make a video each week, I’ll try to watch. Wow, ANOTHER fifty one to go before 2010? Oh boy.

Nathan/Hillary,
Thanks for offering me the opportunity to be part of the first Area 52 video. It was my pleasure to sit in for the interview and chat about Microblink.
You guys did a great job with the footage and I’m looking forward to watching the rest of your videos for 2009.
