We had a great session with the Lava Row folks at Drake! By the way, the developers of Google used some of Ranganathan's work - I think to develop some of the initial Google search algorithms. There has always been a strong "social" component to the Librarianship. Indeed, another library educator, Jesse Shera, stated that "....the purpose of Librarianship is to advance the social utility of the graphic record". Library 2.0 in a nutshell!!!!

Thanks, Nathan and Hillary, for the interesting session yesterday. I think I'm starting to get the hang of it, although I'm entering the water one toe at a time. I did find another blog, Hillary, that you may want to add to your list of cool sites. LibraryBytes (http://www.librarybytes.com/) is a great resource, and I've had the opportunity to hear the author present at several conferences.
