  • Our day as a series of 3-second video clips
    December 18th, 2009 / Posted by Nathan T. Wright

Here’s something different for this week’s video. We’re 50 episodes into our Area 52 video series, so it’s time to get creative, right? We shot various components of our day and attempted to stitch them together into some narrative form, which you can view above. Inspired by our friend John Pemble’s work on 12seconds.tv, each clip is only three seconds long. (John is a master at short-form storytelling.)

Today’s video and self-publishing tools are easy and affordable, so there’s no reason you can’t get into it. What sorts of creative things have you done with video lately?

  • Very nice. Basic & simple works well here. One scene three seconds at a time from one point of view. I'm taking this idea for one of my vids in 2010 and will challenge others to do the same. I really like this approach. Thanks for the shout out on my 12Sec work.
  • When you are in the car on the way to the panel discussion why is there a black sun? Was that intentional?
  • Devin- LOL! Jimmy Johns, Bud Light and Miller Lite had nothing to do with the funding of this video.

Josh- Unfortunately the only options in the office fridge were Coors Light and Bud Light. You are correct, we need to upgrade!
  • loved pretty much everything, including my gut at 1:24 ish. Only down side was the Bud Light ending. Didn't know this was a tragedy. Get yourself a decent beer!

Video highlights: Product placement, product placement and @hillabean stuffing her face with Jimmy Johns...absolutely genius.
